Good colour depth considering its age. Red berries and a slight mint chocolate flavour stand out on the nose backed up with portello sodapop and red jubes. Tannin and acid still provide excellent structure despite the age of the wine. Dried strawberries and exceptionally ripe cherries dance across the front palate while oak and aged characters take over the mid and back palate. Bourbon, char, cigar box, rum/raisin and nutmeg.

  Full bodied and exuberant in character with that recognisable Bluegrass smoothness. A wine that is true to form and varietal. A lovely wine if I do say so myself.
